Attachment style refers to the way human beings connect to others in relationships. We learn how to do this in the family of origin, and the way we attached to our primary caregivers in early life completely forms how we attach to others in our adult relationships.

While there are different styles of attachment, most people experience some measure of what we call anxious attachment – where conflict that lives in our unconscious about our safety and security causes us to feel unsafe and insecure in our relationships, even when they are healthy and secure.
