The Full Moon in Taurus is exact tonight at 9:11pm PDT, so for many of you further east and down under, it’s your calendar Monday. This is one of those Full Moons I will be calling a psychic surgery. I don’t use that term randomly, and it’s not just a dramatic way of saying a lunation may be felt as intense. Only Pluto, the sign of Scorpio, or both, can elevate a lunation to surgery status. The Sun is in Pluto’s sign, and while Venus rules this Taurus Full Moon, our conscious awareness is all about the Lord of the Underworld and his side of the story. Meanwhile Venus herself sits at the final, mastery degree of her other ruling sign of Libra, so this Full Moon could not be more about the heart, our emotional bodies, and how we relate to love, intimacy, finances, and appearance.

Venus was snatched and pulled into the Underworld by this cycle, and she entered this retrograde overwhelmed by the intensity of the heart in Scorpio. This is why the image of Persephone being taken below without her consent is apt. But Venus is continuing to move backward, and is now in her happy place where love and relationship were first experienced. She has been changed from her time in transformational Scorpio. Still retrograde, but at the 30th mastery degree of Libra, she is officially becoming Queen of the Underworld in this transformational Full Moon.

Now, this process is not over, not by a long shot. She has three more weeks, and just after midnight, Mercury joined Venus by turning retrograde himself. He will now move backward from 20° Scorpio to 5° over the same next three weeks. Mars enters the shadow of his retrograde in about a week (WEBINAR CLICK HERE), so while he’s not turning around till early January, he will soon start collecting data about how we’re walking through our lives, adding to the complicated personal planet landscape. So much personal change.

These last few months of 2026 are the peak of transformation that began in 2024, as the outer planets are reflecting the current revolution on the planet, and in technology. Meanwhile the parade of 28° New Moons that began in October of last year plus the simultaneous retrogrades are now reflecting how radically we must all change the way we talk, walk, and feel our way through our lives personally to match the new Earth we’re building.

Pluto in Aquarius is holding an exact Square between the Moon and the Sun. Full Moons already release material deeply held in the unconscious. The Sun in Scorpio sees clearly in the dark, and the Taurus Moon wants love and comfort so badly, it makes the death dive worth the effort. You won’t need to opt into this one; just surrender to all that’s changing, ending, and moving outside your control. Uranus and Pluto are Trining all year, so Uranus’s fast change mechanism is holding an Inconjunct with the Sun and Venus in this Full Moon.
That Great Eliminator angle with the wild card planet is what may reflect sudden endings, and new previously secret information that might rock some of your worlds.

Scorpio invented the ability to hide and keep secrets. Taurus wants us to feel grounded and comfortable. As opposites, they help us transform deep emotional patterns into greater love, which would have to include revealing secrets. An Inconjunct between the Sun and Neptune reveals things that may have been hidden from view by burning away the fog, and for some of you what’s disclosed could be life changing. Saturn sits close enough for a Conjunction, and the Teacher demands that we do the right thing. Neptune says the right thing at this moment is to show your cards, even if only to yourself in private spaces.

Chiron is back in Aries for a last opportunity to do some healing of the masculine, and the Moon is just 4° away, a very close Conjunction across signs. Chiron lights a fire in the spaces that need clearing, and the Taurus Moon receives the burn knowing it will lead to more love. This Conjunction is also Easy Opposing the Full Moon. They Trine the South Node so we reach easily into the past to let go of old attachments. That’s the easy part, our awareness is full, but the Sextile with the North Node is where the potential is. Efforts to change now will help us meet the demands of the future, as well as support the vision you are creating.

Jupiter is playing in that Easy Opposition. Conjunct the South Node, we have enthusiasm on our side, and we dive into the past knowing that everything we release will let us shine more brightly. Meanwhile, Jupiter is Sextiling Venus now that she’s in Libra again, and this is the best combo of love and good fortune there is. But Mars and Mercury Rx are forming a Square, so our thinking and our actions are at odds, and the message there is you can’t attract and keep your good if you don’t feel deserving of it. Inner conflicts can show you where the blind spots are, but try not to argue with yourself or others about your desires. Reminds me of that trope; argue for your limitations and they become yours.

This lunation is built around a Yod that includes the Sun. A Yod will take small choices now and add the winds of fate, so trust your vision. The Sun is the pointy end, so our awareness guides us forward. Uranus and Neptune form the motor of the boat, where sudden upleveling and deep inspiration help us navigate. Saturn next to Neptune makes this a demand and not a request. Venus Rx next to the Sun says this awareness is emotional in nature, and may reflect patterns and feelings you are just becoming aware of.

Don’t try to hold onto anything in this cycle. Pluto in Aquarius is the sign of breaking out of constraints, so the need for freedom may be your motivator right now. As you move through today’s Full Moon and into the next two weeks, the marching orders are simple: let what is happening happen, even when it looks like everything is truly breaking down. Nothing falls apart except to be put back together in better shape than it started. And trust that love is leading, because this Full Moon is ruled by Venus, and Venus is standing at her point of mastery (30th Libra). You know the old, tired trope. If you love something, let it go, and if it doesn’t come back, it was never yours. The Scorpio Sun would rather hunt it down and kill it. The Taurus Moon says love everything that leads you to rebirth. Even the death. Have at it!
