The Full Moon is exact today at 5:22pm PDT. With the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Libra, Venus oversees this moment. The Sun is exactly Conjunct Chiron, so at the heart of it, this is a very healing Full Moon. Truly, this lunation is about how you relate to love, relationships, and most importantly, the notion of life itself as a mirror. This is one of the laws of consciousness itself, that what we perceive in the world is a direct reflection of the consciousness of us, the perceiver. In a world where blame is a commodity, the law of the mirror-consciousness reminds us that we are the arbiter of all we experience. Any time we want a change in the outside world, we must first shift the perspective through which we are beholding it.

If you put on an outfit that you see is wrinkled when you look at yourself in the mirror, you don’t fix it by rubbing the hot iron on the mirror. But this is how most people on the planet are living, in full horizontal consciousness where we feel separate, while also bumping into each other with our fingers curled in the pointing of blame at the ready. This is where healing comes in, because this world is a place of manifestation, where our consciousness is reflected back to us by the world of form that we create. A clear mind is important, of course. But the process of manifesting your desires requires feeling into what you desire before it arrives, so the heart must be as free of wound as possible.

For manifestation to work, you cannot be holding unforgiveness and disdain for the world, so we must let go of the animus in our hearts right now to help the world transform. Venus in her retrograde has been all about this. She started out in Aries, the sign of action and forward movement, but a sign where she is very uncomfortable. She smartly turned around to head back into Pisces so we could all receive a larger dose of compassion, forgiveness, and empathy. We will all need to bring more love with us into what may appear like unloving environments that are just about everywhere these days.

Just 40 minutes after the Full Moon is exact, Venus turns around and goes direct, ending her backward journey at 24° Pisces. This is like a burst of new love, directly emerging from unconscious places where we know forgiveness, just as the power of the Full Moon to perform a little psychic surgery on us will open our hearts even more. We are becoming better givers and receivers of love, but also clearing out our emotional body so we can create lives that light us up with joy. The Full Moon is hitting Venus – and all the players in Pisces (Venus, Mercury, Saturn and the North Node) in the Inconjunct, the 150° track change that will help us move differently in the world in the weeks and months to come.

This healing is perhaps the central core of this Full Moon, because the Conjunction of the Sun and Chiron is exact; they are very cozy with each other today. We are consciously aware of the healing process that we are in, so material that is largely unconscious may be more available to us as we move through this weekend. This precision is partly why I call this lunation a psychic surgery, capable of releasing blocks at a very deep level. Then Mars Trining the entire Pisces stelium will help us take the internal adjustments that are happening now, and turn them into behavior in the months to come as Mars wraps up his cycle.

Of course, healing means change, and for fast change to occur, you need the Great Awakener in the house. Uranus is active at the moment, holding a Sextile with Saturn, so we are primed for sudden changes and instantaneous turnarounds (Uranus), grounded by what we are learning at a deep level (Saturn). This is a transit that offers a tiny bit of stability in a world that is changing fast, we can barely get our footing before the next pivot causes us to pause, regroup, and incorporate another radical shift.

The Moon is hitting Uranus in Taurus and the Pisces stelium in the 150° angle I love so much. One of these Inconjuncts is like a freeway exit, a small change now that will lead to very new territory down the line. Put two of them together, and the pattern is called a Finger of God (or Fate, if you prefer). Whatever effort you put in to allow your life to move to a new track will be supported by your connection to the Divine, so remember my constant appeal that we must all be putting our spiritual practice first this year.

We all have desires that we hold in our heart, and often wish longingly for things we want in our lives, but do not have. When we turn toward the idea of manifesting that desire, try and pull away from some specific fantasy you might have, and instead use this Full Moon to return to the fundamental principle of love, and the mirror consciousness. When you live truly in your heart and remember that you are a vibration of perfect love, then all else will be added to you, and nothing will be felt as missing. You can be single and desire a partnership and feel its absence as a loss, but when you move as if the world is your Beloved, those longings and the feeling of lack will dissolve. And of course, your person may be just around the corner, and you are more attractive as you feel yourself as whole and complete.

This moment on the planet is tense, and it is easy to be frightened and decide to sit things out. The Aries Sun knows that we must not retreat, but find the inner fire of activation. We must release our attachments of wanting life to be easy and free from the chaos of change; that’s a shadow of Libra. Love knows how to fill the empty cup, so we must make some room by letting go of unconscious impulses that are unloving.

When in doubt, use the kind of prayer that I often offer you, and it goes something like this: I know myself as the perfect vibration of love, and I attract all loving experiences to me, including love in brand new forms. I am now ready to release anything and everything, known and unknown, conscious and unconscious, that inhibits my ability to step fully into this posture of perfect love, and trust that all is well. Have at it.
