The New Moon at 25°57’ of Taurus is exact today at 1:00pm PDT. We are in the earthly mansion ruled by Venus, where love feels like coming home to be warmed and fed. This lunation also snaps us back to the typical flow of the Saros cycle, where successive New Moons fall at the next descending degree. This annual cycle carried much more weight because of the wild backdrop of revolutionary change that held it. We have been taken on a wild ride by Grandmother Moon, this is the soft landing, if your body can remember such a concept. Relative to the times, this New Moon brings us back to ordinary space, and the Earth herself as Mother.
The Sabian symbol for the 26th degree of Taurus is “A Spanish Gallant Serenades His Beloved.” Oh, let that be you, ready to receive love like a constant song from your beloved. And remember that in this image, you are also the singer. And the icing on this symbolic cake is what happens when you finally realize that the world itself is your Beloved, and all earthly love flows to you when you remember that you were grown here. Taurus rules the throat, and if you sing your song for Mother Earth, she holds you with more warmth and grace. This is when you will hear the music of the spheres that has been serenading you since your first breath.
Mercury is at the tail end of Taurus, imprinting freshly upgraded perceptions and thought forms directly into the thrust of this new energy. Uranus is in Gemini at 1°, close enough to be Conjunct the New Moon, but from the next sign. Both the Sun and Mercury will move into Gemini in a few days, so the entire cycle will be grounded in the heart by Taurus, but Sun, Mercury and Uranus in Gemini will invite the mind to be innovative and ready to share new ideas.
Venus is still in Gemini, further amplifying the need and capacity to express your feelings to others, even if that’s between you and the pages of your journal. Venus is in a Sextile with her beloved Mars, so the feminine principal in us is well balanced with our need to take action, and preferably now, thank you Mars at home in the sign of initiation and impulse. Chiron and Mars are in an exact Conjunction at the very moment of the New Moon’s perfection. To the minute, and you guys all know how excited that makes me. This Sextile puts all kinds of supportive energy behind what you desire like a gas stove delivering a steady flame, perfect for cooking.
The outers are playing a direct part in this New Moon. The Taurus home base that includes Uranus is in a Trine with Pluto. Those two have been flirting with the idea of a dance of slow and fast change in a crescendo since 2025. The peaks of this will arrive in July and then again in November, very auspicious for the future of the United States, full stop.
If the intensity of the times revs your mind up into overwhelm, pull yourself back into your body with mantras of grace and resilience: “Though my body feels the excitement of change as fear, I know the loving arms of the Great Mother are holding me with Grace in every breath.” I would touch the body, perhaps a hand on your chest. Taurus knows to move at the rate of the heartbeat, which is hard to do when the world is offering a steady stream of fight, flight, or fawn.
The other pattern in the outer planets grabbing my attention is the building Sextile between Neptune and Pluto. This energy has been hinted at since early 2025 and will not perfect until July, but this New Moon brings them within 2° of a perfect 60° mechanism of potential. Deep transformation, ideologies, and unconscious inspiration are working together, while both planets hold an Inconjunct to the South Node of the past. This Yod tells us that old fears, inhibitions, and distrust of life itself can and must be released if we are to thrive. Virgo inspires us to dismantle the knotted up old ways one thread at a time, so that we might use those same threads to knit a new fabric of society, one in which all humans are cared for.
Jupiter is still in Cancer where he is considered exalted, which you can just understand as life feeling generous to you. If we hold and care for our vision as if we were its mother, there is nothing that Jupiter in Cancer will not help you grow. Of course, it’s your responsibility to keep your vision right sized; you cannot create something you do not have the talent or ability to execute. And any abundance that comes your way will not stick around if you don’t have the consciousness to hold it.
This is key for us today because this New Moon is in a Sextile with Jupiter. From Taurus who invented abundance and prosperity, this Sextile is like a motor, their two energies combine to generate a chemical reaction. In earth and water, the resulting manifestation is form in the three dimensional world. But remember that Jupiter is receiving disposition from the Moon while in her sign, so respect the season, and do not demand a reaping when it is time to sow.
When I imagine the greater prosperity I am ready to receive, it is important that I align that with the principle of service. My desire to serve is everything, and the body needs a lot of rest and care in this chapter. My capacity to organize has diminished as well. So I call in wealth – literal money – to create assistance and safety for the body, and generosity for the soul by contributing to my descendants and grace in their futures. The New Moon is also Trining my Mercury, so it is with my voice that I create all of this.
Now, this is my story at this time, and what I just shared is irrelevant to the intentions that are key for you now. But the model is the same. Hold or find your vision, and keep it in your heart. Understand fully how your vision serves you and others. Use your voice to connect with your integrated self like a drum being beaten in ceremony, and then allow the next few days to bring your thinking mind back on line.
This is indeed a manifestation New Moon, so cash and prizes are fine to focus on. But remember how it works. The idea is the seed (Mercury), we fertilize and water it with love (Venus) and use the body (Mars) to vibrate with the feeling of the arrival of your desires. Serve yourself first, then feed the ministry that arises around you, whether the size of that ministry one or one million. When more of us are loving the World as our Beloved in this way, she will love us back with the same generosity we offer. Have at it.
